Hope Prayer Partners

We’ve been overwhelmed at the excitement and generosity of so many who have thrown their hat in the ring and signed up to pray for a child for the next year. So far over 130 empty-nesters, college students, singles, and young marrieds have offered their lives in a powerful way to give and receive, to teach our children that they are never alone, that God and the people gathered in his name stand with them. I’m excited just to think about some of the relationships that will be formed from this self-giving. God does amazing things when we offer ourselves to others! And I can tell you as a parent, we cherish every single prayer we can get! We need the power and blessing that comes into our lives when God hears and draws close.

If you have not had a chance to sign up, please do so today as we get ready to establish partnerships. Next week will be our big kick off, and throughout the year we’ll be encouraging you and helping you in making contact and praying for the young life that you’ll be bringing before God.

You’ll be asked to do three basic things:
1. Mainly, pray for your child as you go before God. Pray for their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth.
2. Make contact with your child at Meadowbrook services or by phone at regular intervals. Let them know you are praying for them and ask them and their parents if there are specific requests that you can pray about with them.
3. Use the monthly “helps” that the Hope Planning Team will provide- ideas and opportunities that will foster this prayer relationship between you, the child, and our Lord.

We still believe that God loves this city and its community. And so we’re excited to start right here, with our Meadowbrook community and our families, raising up our children so they can impact the greater community around us!
